Welcome to the St. Padre Pio 3013 Sons & Daughters of Italy in America.
Welcome to the St. Padre Pio 3013 Sons & Daughters of Italy in America.
In 2022, a group of passionate Italians from Springfield came together with a shared vision of creating a group where people could come together to celebrate and learn about our Italian culture. With determination and hard work, St. Padre Pio 3013 Sons & Daughters of Italy was born.
Our Italian community is at the heart of everything we do. We are proud to have built a community of business owners, professionals, artists, performers, educators, and supporters who share our passion for promoting our Italian cultural understanding and appreciation.
Since our officially founding in 2023, St. Padre Pio 3013 Sons & Daughters of Italy has hosted countless cultural events, music and art exhibitions, and educational programs. We have also collaborated with many local organizations to support our goal in promoting our Italian Culture. We have brought back Italian Feasts and processions, Columbus Day celebrations, and periodic Italian Masses. We have also established an annual Italian Gala to celebrate our Italian community every October.
We will gather at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 123 William Street in Springfield's South End for Mass at 10:30AM. The Mass will feature the blessing of our new life-size statue of Saint Padre Pio which was just shipped in from Naples Italy. All are welcome to join us for this historic Mass.
Immediately following the Mass, the statue of St. Padre Pio will be carried through the streets of the South End, starting at around 11:30AM in front of the church. We will be accompanied by the faithful as well as an Italian marching band.
The procession will conclude at the Italian Club at 13 Winthrop Street in Springfield's South End. The Sons & Daughters of Italy will offer a free light lunch to the faithful, along with a cash bar for beer and wine.
As a nonprofit organization, we rely on the support of our community to continue our mission. Donate today to help us continue to promote cultural understanding and appreciation.

Pio of Pietrelcina (born Francesco Forgione; 25 May 1887 – 23 September 1968), widely known as Padre Pio, was an Italian Capuchin friar, priest, stigmatist, and mystic. He is venerated as a saint in the Catholic Church, celebrated on 23 September. St. Padre Pio is the namesake and patron of the Springfield 3013 chapter of the Sons & Daughters of Italy. We are looking to purchase a life size statue of him for our club and for religious processions. Please consider contributing to helping us buy our statue! Grazie!
